win10 laptop, win11 laptop, win10 desktop server Issue: cannot access server, appears in network but prompts for credentials with password protect turned off. Credentials fail as user/pw error. User/pw confirmed in credentials. Turn pw protect on, credentials still fail Laptops share without issue. Server drives/folders shared & no old tokens in cache.

I noticed, using Firefox 142.0 (snap) on Xubuntu 24.04, that the spell checker suddenly started underlining as mistakes lots of French words containing the “accent circonflexe” diacritic (^). I tried lots of words and finally noticed that the spell checker was adhering to what’s explained here:
