It took depth, bravery
You took a deep breath and said how you felt
Chose vulnerability
Attempted to bridge a gap,
Yes, it was awkward,
But some of the best stories come from discomfort,
Breathe deep,
You did it,
Now you know,
They weren’t who you thought,
Have you ever thought about how strange it is,
We are essentially a bag of bones walking the Earth,
Wrapped in our selective skin,
Choosing to hate another bag of bone walking the Earth,
We create schools of thought to support our hate,
Have entire eco systems,
Build to exclude other bag of bones,
Create laws, social structures,
You broke my heart,
It won’t work the same,
Every time I try to move on,
I find a massive part of it is missing,
Tiny shards still pang,
Memories which still sting,
Photos I still can’t look at,
Mostly because I cannot understand why you would choose to throw it all away,
