This looks inconsistent: In Diamonds are Forever, Bond leaves his Beretta in a corpse's hand to mislead investigators; then in Dr No, when he parts with his beretta it's made very clear that he has had this weapon for some time. I think Fleming just forgot that he had ditched the weapon. comments?
