Hello guys I’ve been watching videos of people changing the gearbox oil on there defender td5s and the drain plug on the couple of videos I have seen is a big 32mm plug bolt, however looking at mine it appears to be a 3/8 square drive plug, is this normal?

Hello All,

As per the other problems with the fault codes I saw that the cooling reservoir is down to zero and while taking a pic of that it looks like
the brake fluid seems to be empty as well. Found a bottle of cooling fluid so will fill it up again and see if I can find
a leak somewhere. Didn't see anything while checking the reservoir and the one pip...

Hi all - an ongoing issue with our TD5. In summary:
Noisy fuel pump on initial prime and when running. Engine appears starved of fuel/air in system after short runs and under load. Power loss and then stall. When the pump is re-primed the engine will start with the accelerator depressed but then only run for a mile or so before losing power and stalling.

Took the whole landy apart, to paint each panel and to underseal and fix some corrosion areas. What's the bare minimum I need to plug back in to get it running again, just maybe if I need to move it etc

I guess
-battery
- ECU
-fuel pump relays
-injector relay

If anyone has some photos or has done it before?

Getting to the point where I’m looking at another Landy again. Used to have a 1968 88 but madam has determined that if I get another one it’ll need to be a tad more modern and functional.
