Ouch, the snark was pretty high in this one. Normally he’s pretty tongue in cheek, but the distaste seemed genuine in this case.
Even if you ignore the effects it’s still a great-sounding two osc monosynth with a nice filter for bass sounds. The main issue for me is that the envelope being tucked away in those little faders is less satisfying then having dedicated knobs for each envelope would be.

I had one of these for a while. Quirky interface, but great sounds and versatility. I sold it more because I am a compulsive gear-hopper than for any sensible reasons. Now, to watch this video about it to find out why I was simultaneously right to get rid of it and also need to buy it again.
I feel like Typhon comes up frequently in these kinds of topics, but I’m curious if Typhon is really worth it if you take the FX out of the equation? Hard to tell from demos as most are FX-heavy.
