Thought it would be fun to create a few different color variations of my new “Tendrils” scene. Included as a blue green “ocean” theme, a reddish “rouge” theme and a dark blue “midnight” theme. I still prefer the original myself (for now anyway) but I have the new ones featured in the gallery for a bit until I move them to the Pickle Jar. Let me know which your prefer!

Happy Sunday! Lately I’ve been learning how to use Cinema4D’s particle system and “tracer” to create branching geometry. I can foresee many cool applications but my initial experiments yielded this update to “Tendrils” from 2003. Going to continue my explorations (using different forces to influence the particles) but I thought this simple scene looked nice enough to share.

Here’s another version of “Opaline Hollow“. I’ve toned down the sunlight this time so you might say it’s a bit of a night version. I’ve also added a bit of artificial light to the cavern to provide a bit of contrast. The water reflections should be a bit clearer too. Which version do you prefer? Undecided if I will leave them both in the gallery.
