Hi there, I’ve been looking for quite some time for this specific paper from 1981:

As above - I use passive recording to survey likely breeding sites. This produces 40-50 one hour files per recorder per week.
From this, BirdNet produces a combined Raven selection table and I can visually scan this for particular vocalisations associated with likely "paired" males.

saw this wader a few weeks ago in the Keyhaven Marshes, between Milford-on-sea and Lymington
unfortunately it remained in the same position while i was trying to observe it, hence not really sure what sort of wader it is (second picture shows passing redshank for scale)
any idea what type of wader it could be ?

Hello all from a dry and dusty England. Looking forward to getting involved - am still doing my due diligence in terms of kit. I shoot Pentax but am looking for a decent mirrorless birding setup. There's now a spreadsheet on my PC that's helping and hindering at the same time..!
