In 2019, researchers at Northwell Health started a randomized controlled trial with AudioNotch as the intervention. Sixty-five tinnitus patients were randomly assigned to receive AudioNotch or standard care and followed for a full year. The updated 12-month analysis was published in Otology & Neurotology in 2026.
