I just figured I'd share this with you all, assuming it hasn't been shared before. This $10 tool set from Harbor Freight (a discount tool retailer in the US) it capable of reaching the T15 screws buried under the handle of any compact Mac. It's been a lifesaver for me.

I've taken this thing all apart before installing a SSD...it's a pain but I can do it. The speaker is very blown. Looks like a proprietary part so do people repair these?

I got a Macintosh Color Classic today. After cleaning and recapping the logic board, everything works fine except of the floppy drive. It’s totally dead and does exactly nothing when inserting a floppy in it except producing a vibrating noise. I have to press the emergency eject to get the floppy out.

I also replaced the drive with a known good one from my SE30 but ...

Picked up this beautiful ACD today for a good price. Needs some cosmetic restoration but appears to be in good condition.

Has anyone modded these to run off a standard DC jack instead of needing to rely on the ADC cable?

Recently spent a day restoring mine to 100+ % with a bright green HD activity LED and BlueSCSI. Just wanted to mention what a great machine I think this really is. I have a bunch of other compact Macs but this is definitely one of my favorites. Unpretentious. Rock solid. But still very capable of word processing and 80s apps/games. Just get the battery out and reflow some solder...
